With the APR Charge Pipes for the 2.0T EA888 EVO 4 engine with Continental turbocharger, all components between the turbocharger and intercooler are exchanged and optimise the air flow to a maximum.

THE SYSTEM

  • Turbo Muffler Pipe & Turbo Outlet Hose

With the installation of the APR Turbo Muffler, the air flow is increased and more evenly channelled. We also restore the factory-eliminated turbocharger sound by minimising the constriction paths. This removes turbulence in the airflow and increases performance. In addition, the outlet of the silencer pipe has been enlarged by 66% compared to the original. The overall increase in the system has raised the charge air system to the level of the more powerful Volkswagen Golf R or Audi S3. In order to guarantee proper engine operation, the crankcase ventilation on the turbo muffler was not removed. No further gaskets are required for installation.
  • Turbo Outlet Pipe
The APR Turbo Outlet Pipe replaces the factory-fitted plastic pipe with a high-quality aluminium pipe with a constant internal diameter. In order to maximise performance, particular attention was paid during development to ensuring that there are as few bends and narrow pipe runs as possible. As the factory-fitted plastic pipes begin to melt and break under extreme conditions, additional work was carried out on the stability of the Turbo Outlet Pipe. The pipe has rolled connection points to prevent the hose from slipping. All mounting brackets are TIG (tungsten inert gas) welded to ensure a strong connection. As already known from other products, the surface is coated in typical APR satin black. All these changes result in a reliable setup that leads to a smooth and strong airflow. The respective hoses are compatible with both the standard and APR charging hoses.

  • Intercooler Hoses

The APR intercooler hoses replace the factory rubber hoses and threaded clamps with high-quality multi-layer silicone hoses and Clampco T-bolt clamps. The inside of the hoses is smooth and lined with a fluorosilicone material. This was designed in extensive development work and increases the service life of the components immensely. Stepped lips in the hoses ensure a smooth connection between the hose and pipe for an uninterrupted air flow. By minimising bends and tight curve radii, we take great care to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted air flow. The hose material also adheres to the surface of the counterpart at high temperatures to create a stronger, leak-free and slip-free connection. The charge air cooler hoses impress with their high reliability and maximum air flow properties. The hoses are compatible with both standard and upgraded APR charge pipes and intercoolers.

  • Throttle Body Pipe

The aluminium throttle body pipe replaces the factory plastic pipe, which has a more constant diameter. During development, the air flow was optimised to a maximum by producing as few bends and tight radius curves as possible. The inner pipework shines with its robust material, which can also withstand extreme conditions. The pipe has an additional connection that can be used for water/methanol injection, for example. An NPT tap (high-pressure ball valve) allows the connection to be closed at any time when not in use. To prevent the hoses from slipping, the pipe has rolled connection points. The TIG-welded (tungsten inert gas welding) mounting brackets and sensor connections ensure a strong connection. In addition, the Throttle Body Pipe has been painted with a black satin colour on the surface. All these features result in a reliable setup that leads to higher performance on the vehicle. The pipe is compatible with both the standard and APR charging hoses.
