Care information

Stainless steel or titanium exhaust systems are very low maintenance. Mainly the exhaust tips need to be cleaned.

CHROME OR STAINLESS STEEL TIPS:
Use soap and water to clean the water. In this stage, you need to wash off dirt and brake dust.
Use automotive steel wool to clean heavy carbon buildup, one of the significant causes of exhaust dirt.
Use metal polish to restore lustre.
Use a pressure washer to give a pressure wash to the exhaust with proper pressure.
Use a wire brush to clean the interior part.
Remove the grime. There is always a lot of loose grime left in the exhaust after giving it an internal clean.
Apply metal polish.

POWDER COATED TIPS:
Use soap and water to clean the water. In this stage, you need to wash off dirt and brake dust.
Use a pressure washer to give a pressure wash to the exhaust with proper pressure.

The APR catback exhaust system personalises the look, sound and performance of the vehicle. The TIG welds refine the system, which is handcrafted from T304 stainless steel for all components.

ATTENTION GROWLY

The straight-through brushed mufflers smooth the exhaust note to a deep growl without restriction. Strong, high-quality OEM-style brackets and clamps hold the system firmly in place and make installation and removal a breeze.

This makes installation simple and precise. The 3‘ (76mm) curved exhaust pipes provide an ultra-smooth path and direct exhaust gases evenly from the two 2.5’ (63.5mm) tailpipes. Removable, polished 4’ (102mm) slash-cut tailpipes complete the system and add a classy motorsport-inspired touch to the rear of the vehicle.

THE SYSTEM

The exhaust system uses larger pipes compared to the series and weighs 9% less. It uses 3‘ (76mm) pipes that split into a dual 2.5’ (63.5mm) pipe system.
The standard system uses 2.56‘ (65mm) pipes, which are reduced to 2.36’ (60mm) before entering the silencer. The exhaust gases split and leave the silencer through a dual 2.36‘ (60mm) system, but this is reduced again directly to 2.17’ (55mm). This reduction considerably reduces the overall cross-section of the system. The APR mainpipe has a cross-section that is up to 60% larger than the original. The whole thing is rounded off by 4’ (102mm) tailpipe trims which give the rear of the vehicle a sporty look.

The rear silencer is a double Helmholtz resonator and silencer in one.

The entire system is a ‘straight-through system’ with a 3-inch inlet (76mm) that splits evenly into a 2.5-inch (63.5mm) dual exhaust system. The exhaust gases first pass through the silencer, which is responsible for smoothing the exhaust note. The perforated pipes are tightly wrapped with stainless steel and glass fibre material. Unwanted frequencies are then eliminated in the two Helmholtz resonators. The exhaust gases flow through unhindered and ensure maximum performance. The silencer has an attractive brushed surface and is concealed high up in the exhaust tunnel. This means that the system is also suitable for lowered vehicles.
